On May 23, artist Turan Aydınlı’s solo exhibition, titled “Seeds”, opened at the Contemporary Art Center in Baku. The exhibition by the artist, a graduate of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts, will run until May 29.
The opening ceremony brought together members of the art community, curators, artists, and art enthusiasts. Visitors had the opportunity to explore paintings that capture the poetry of everyday life and create emotion through form and color.
The concept of the “seed,” which gives the exhibition its title, symbolizes both the beginning of life and the process of individual growth. A simple image — pomegranate seeds and the metaphor of a seed — becomes, in Turan Aydınlı’s hands, a multilayered, quiet, and profound form of artistic expression. In her works, time seems to freeze, sounds fall silent, and forms enter into a calm dialogue with the viewer.
The paintings presented in the exhibition stand out for their delicate color palette, balanced compositions, and emotionally expressive forms. Each work invites the viewer to reflect, feel, and search for their own inner impressions.
Having received her professional education at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts, Turan Aydınlı continues her practice as an independent artist. Her work is rooted both in academic foundations and in her personal artistic sensibility. In this sense, “Seeds” offers not only an aesthetic experience but also an emotional one.
The exhibition will remain open at the Contemporary Art Center until May 29. Admission is free.
