Goygol

Two years ago, during a trip to Ganja, we decided that since Göygöl was so close to the city, we had to visit it as well. After entering Göygöl National Park, private vehicles are no longer allowed. We got into one of the park’s Niva vehicles, which took us up to the hotel located near the lake. The drive itself was part of the experience. Surrounded by forests, breathing the fresh mountain air, and watching the scenery change as we climbed higher, it truly felt like we were leaving the ordinary behind. When we arrived at the hotel, the first thing that caught our attention was the silence and the pristine surroundings. As soon as we opened the window of our room, we were greeted by a breathtaking view—it felt as if the lake was stretching right toward us. The crystal-blue water, the silhouette of the mountains, and the forest reflected on the lake like a mirror created one of those moments you want to remember rather than simply capture with a camera. Even sitting in the room and looking out at the lake was incredibly calming. Waking up in the morning with that view outside the window made every worry seem to disappear. The closer you get to Göygöl, the more beautiful it becomes. The water is so clear that you can see the stones at the bottom. From a distance, the lake shifts between brilliant shades of blue and deep turquoise. What impressed us the most, however, was how well the area is protected: * The surroundings are exceptionally clean. * Loud noise is not permitted. * Access to the shoreline is carefully regulated. * Nature is preserved with minimal human interference. That is exactly why Göygöl truly deserves its reputation as one of the best-preserved lakes. If you ever find yourself in Ganja, make sure to visit Göygöl. It is the perfect combination of peaceful nature, breathtaking scenery, and a place where you can truly unwind.
